Pricing: 1 credit = 5¢. 1 credit covers up to 3 OCR page-equivalents (text-fast .md/.txt files are always free). Billed per-RUN — a 1,000-file batch with 2 pages each is ceil(2000/3) = 667 credits, not 1,000. Direct XLS/XLSX spreadsheets billed by data volume: 1 credit per started 1,000 rows or 100 KB, whichever is larger.

What's the difference between workspace mode and Share mode?

Workspace mode is the AI-searchable workspace for your own private documents with full provenance and citations. Share Mode is optional: after you build a workspace, you can publish a sanitized copy with filenames and PII stripped, then earn 70% of every paid ask subscribers make. Most users only use workspace mode.

Will my data ever leave my machine?

Your .md/.txt files never leave your disk. For PDFs, images, and Office files that need OCR, files are uploaded to serverless GPU workers, processed, and deleted after processing. Leapable does not retain originals or OCR output.

Will my data train someone else's AI?

No. Leapable never trains on customer data. Each workspace is isolated, and there is no cross-customer data sharing.

How does the AI cite the exact page?

Every passage records the document id, page number, and character offsets. When the AI returns a result, the citation opens the source at the exact paragraph with highlighting, and the chain-hash provenance graph binds the citation to the stored content.

I'm a lawyer with 2,000 case documents. Where do I start?

Install Leapable for free, create one workspace per matter, and drop in the production folder. Cloud OCR handles PDFs in minutes. Once indexed, search from Claude Code, Cursor, or any supported AI client. Builder covers about 3,000 OCR pages monthly.

I'm a researcher with 10,000 PDFs. Does Leapable scale?

Yes. Local SQLite plus 768-d sqlite-vec vector search scales to 100,000+ documents in practice. Initial OCR of 10,000 PDFs requires about 3,300 credits, roughly $165. After that, search latency stays under 200 ms.

Can I silo cases / projects?

Yes. Each workspace is a separate SQLite vault. Case and project separation is the default, and cross-vault search is opt-in.

Why subscribe instead of buying credits?

Subscriptions include monthly credits plus 50% rollover at cycle reset. One-off packs are face-value at five cents per credit with no rollover. If you use Leapable regularly, a plan is meaningfully cheaper.

Can I upgrade / downgrade?

Yes. Upgrades are immediate and Stripe prorates the change. Downgrades are immediate with unused time credited. Your credit balance is untouched.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. There are no refunds on partial months. Credits never expire, and uninstalling means your data goes with you.

How do I pay?

Stripe. Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and several regional methods are supported. Leapable never sees or stores your card.

Can my whole team use Leapable?

Pro supports a small team. Elite supports firm-wide deployment with optional dedicated workspace sync planned for Phase 2. Each team member installs Leapable on their own machine, and shared workspaces sync through your existing file store such as SharePoint or Drive.

Can I deploy on-prem / air-gapped?

Phase 3. For now, Leapable is local-first per user machine. Cloud OCR and hosted reranking require network access. Air-gapped sites can run Markdown and text workflows completely local with a local LLM such as Ollama or vLLM. Read the on-prem deployment guide.
